Afya Research Africa is involved in innovating and developing health system solutions to promote access to quality health services by under-served communities. As part of this mission, ARA deploys community medical centres in remote rural areas: Ubuntu-Afya Kiosks, in a strategy that incorporates community co-ownership and the development of complementary enterprises to cross-subsidize the costs of providing clinical care.

With support from the County Innovation Challenge Fund (CICF), ARA seeks to scale up this model in Homabay County. To support this scale-up, ARA seeks to engage clinical officers and nurses to provide clinical service at the kiosks for an initial contract period of 1 year.

The following minimum qualifications and competencies are sought:
• Diploma in clinical medicine or nursing from a recognized Medical Training College
• Registration with the relevant professional body
• Ability to use Microsoft Office suite: ability to use Linux systems is an added advantage
• Candidates who have undergone EMONC training and a have good command of local languages preferred

With support from the County Innovation Challenge Fund (CICF), ARA seeks to scale up this model in Homa Bay County. To support this scale up, ARA seeks to engage a pharmaceutical technologist to provide pharmacy services at the kiosks  initially for a contract period of one year.
